Unfortunately this is how I've felt for over the past month-oops! I missed a couple weeks, and so much had gone by that I felt like I couldn't start again. I know I won't be able to remember everything but I'll do my best! My last post was on Feb 17, and SO much has happened since then!
First, Mike came to visit for a week! It was absolutely incredible. We got to go to the parks for two days with my grandparents which was so much fun. Walking down Mainstreet, going on favorite rides, and watching Disney fireworks with Mike are definitely moments I won't forget. It really was a magical week! At least up until the last couple days when we both got some kind of stomach flu and were really sick :( I never wanted him to have to see me like that! But we took care of each other and got through it in time for him to head back to Indiana. I was still sick for a couple days after and missed work but eventually got back to normal!
He met my boss! :)
Work has been getting busier as more and more people arrive on Spring Break. I was recently trained for another position called "Runner", which is basically a gopher for the resort. I keep track of and deliver guest packages, check the status of rooms, and run errands whenever needed. I got to drive a family to Old Key West about a week ago because the missed their bus, and they were actually from Evansville so we had a lot to talk about! I also had a surprise visit from Carrie, a friend from home which was awesome!! I was also offered a position in Back Ops, which is only offered to one CP every semester. It's a big job and a big honor; I feel very blessed!
I have been busy also hanging out with my wonderful roommates :) making amazing memories, and living every moment to the fullest-because time is FLYING by!! We cannot believe there is only one month left. Jess and I went to a Chris Tomlin/Louie Giglio concert and were totally rocked. I have never felt so close to God and was literally brought to my knees. I thought I'd felt the pure joy and fire for God before, but this was something completely new and wonderful. I was also given an opportunity to help a family get into Disney for free. They have 5 kids and asked my roommate if she could help them possibly get discount tickets. They have been saving for their vacation for a very long time; and getting 7 people into Disney is no small cost. My roommate and I met them at the gate, and surprised them by telling them we were going to use our passes and get them ALL in for free. The mom burst into tears and everyone was in shock. I started crying because it was so incredible to be able to make that magic for a family who is so deserving. We hung out with them for half of the day and left to go to work. It was the best moment of my trip so far, just being able to share something like that for a grateful, beautiful family.
I LOVE THIS LIFE.
